Ukmedix Warns About Fake Erectile Dysfunction Medicines

At Ukmedix we have always highlighted the connection between the illegal sales of fake Viagra on the internet and organised crime and we have even come across illegal Viagra sales being responsible for funding terrorist organisations.

A new story in the Ukmedix newsroom concerns the growing problem of fake Viagra being sold on the streets and online in Ulster. The area is being targeted by international criminal gangs who have no concern for the health of the people who receive the drugs. Not only is Viagra being sold but other fake pills that can have potentially fatal effects have been uncovered by the local police.

Other medicines like slimming pills as well as more serious types of medicines are being sold by the gangs who are sometimes able to get their fake drugs stocked in genuine pharmacies without the owners being aware that they are selling fake drugs.

The criminals often use packaging for their drugs that make them look very similar to the real thing and sell most of the fake medicines through the internet as a way of keeping their identities and whereabouts secret. The actual Viagra pills have been known to range from either very similar to the real thing but obviously untested and unregulated to complete fakes where the pills are made from anything from painted cement to chalk dust.

The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency or the MHRA for short is very vigilant in catching the criminals who constantly flout the law and have had a number of notable successes last year which means that some of the criminals will be soon appearing in court changes under the Medicines Act. Over two million pounds of fake medicine including Viagra, Cialis and Levitra has been seized by the MHRA and will be part of the evidence against these criminals.

Health experts warned that anyone who buys fake Viagra from the internet is taking a risk with their health and warned that cheap prices often meant that the medicine was fake. Ukmedix takes its responsibility very seriously and only sells the genuine medicines like Viagra from a licensed pharmacy on production of a doctor’s prescription. Ukmedix also provides advice and doctors’ consultations regarding erectile dysfunction and Viagra online.
