Impotence Is Major Culprit Of Doorknob Syndrome

the biggest cause of doorknob syndrome is erectile dysfunction

Doctors refer to an interesting medical condition call ‘doorknob syndrome' which is when patients visit them for a supposed health issue only to pluck up courage to talk about the real problem when they are just about to leave and their hand is already on the doorknob!

Impotence Is Major Culprit Of Doorknob Syndrome

Probably the biggest cause of doorknob syndrome is erectile dysfunction and doctors should be very conscious of patients who hang around and seem to have something else on their mind especially when they’re leaving. Very often men need a little bit of encouragement to open up and talk about sexual problems and a sensitive and sympathetic doctor can be the catalyst.

At Ukmedix News we believe that doctors should ask about erectile function in the same way as they ask about other medical complications such as aches and pains. The fact is however that even some doctors are embarrassed to bring up the issue of erectile function especially if the doctor is a woman. In the same way a male doctor may feel embarrassed to ask about female sexual function to a female patient and might feel that he is crossing an ethical and professional line.

Many men actually get to the doctors clinic, talk about some other perceived health problem and end up not plucking up the courage to talk about the erectile dysfunction. Doctors should look out for these men and see if they can get them to talk. It is a shame that men go through an immense amount of stress for years and years before they get help, or they try and get black market fake drugs on the internet which can often do them more harm than good.

Men should always remember that erectile dysfunction is almost certainly a simple blood flow problem which can be solved with one of the erectile dysfunction drugs Viagra, Cialis or Levitra. The other important thing to remember is that erectile dysfunction is normally an indicator of other health problems and that by not mentioning it to your doctor you are potentially allowing an undiagnosed illness to go unchecked. Erectile dysfunction can be a warning of more serious circulatory problems such as heart disease and arteriosclerosis.

So guys stop hanging about at the doorknob and talk about it! If you still can’t face talking about it, try an online consultation at Ukmedix.

Hey all you men out there! You only have to be embarrased once, after that its plain sailing! So go for it, don't do what I did, suffer for two years before I had the courage to mention it to my doctor. Have the courage to do it, you will wonder why you did not mention it before!
