Men should learn to relax before sex

While many people have been rescued from severe emotional and relationship problems due to the use of erectile dysfunction medications such as Viagra, Cialis and Levitra, these drugs should not be thought of as an immediate answer to all erectile and male sexual problems. In fact some research shows that men who use erectile dysfunction medication can actually aggravate an existing relationship problem with a wife or girlfriend rather than curing it.

Some women report that men when using Viagra for example turn into uncaring “animals” who have no concern for them and become more aggressive in the bedroom. Men are sometimes reported to become “sexually arrogant” when Viagra gives them back their sexual confidence. Another problem with these drugs is that many men think that their erection problems will immediately be solved with Viagra, Cialis or Levitra when they actually could have some underlying psychological or physical problem which these drugs cannot help.

Before using an erectile dysfunction medication a man should assess a number of issues which he may have with sex and his sexual partners. Viagra, Cialis and Levitra are extremely effective for curing a simple blood flow problem to the penile artery which occurs in many men as they age, but it is not effective in curing any other causes of erectile dysfunction.

Men should learn to relax before sex especially if they are concerned about their sexual performance. Erectile dysfunction can be caused purely by anxiety in the bedroom which is sometimes called Performance Anxiety. One attack of performance anxiety can manifest into an avoidance of sexual encounters for fear of the problem returning again. Men should not underestimate the importance of confidence and relaxation for good and satisfactory erectile function.

Talking about sexual problems with your sexual partner can sometimes be all that is required to sort the problem out.
