Work Out For Good Erectile Function

Written by Stuart Stevens | Thursday, 21 September 2006

New research that was done at the University of Adelaide clearly shows that men who shed weight without using drugs will see that their sexual function improves as well. The study clearly notes the connection between drug free weight loss and a quick improvement in erectile function as well as lower urinary tract conditions.

The new research was unveiled at the International Congress on Obesity that is taking place in Australia and it was noted if the weight loss was diet related as opposed to drug related, the heart and sexual function would both be better off. The University of Adelaide with help from the Royal Adelaide Hospital saw a direct link between a clinically monitored weight-loss with a low calorie diet and the curing of erectile dysfunction and a low sexual drive in men.

Obesity is often a cause of erectile dysfunction as is any heart problems that are also link to obesity. In order to have a good sexual function it is important to be fit and healthy and to have a good cardio health. Eating a low calorie diet is probably the best way to lose weight quickly and effectively and men might be encouraged to do so if they know that it can also improve their sexual function as well as help them to lose weight.

The use of erectile dysfunction drugs would not be required as much if men were to lose weight and to exercise more often. The financial and health costs to all developed nations of obesity related illnesses and treatment for erectile dysfunction is huge and is growing all the time.
