The indictment against the defendants also said that they had been illegally smuggling the sildenafil citrate into the United States from China by camouflaging it with herbal products and also incorrectly stating to U.S. customs what their containers had in them. The defendants are estimated to have generated around seven and a half million dollars in sales and thus they are likely to receive a hefty fine as well as prison sentences.
