The Chinese government earlier this year signalled that they wanted to be serious about cracking down on the problem of fake and counterfeit medicine being produced in their country and it seems that they are finally put in their words into action.

Recently Ukmedix News learned that the Chinese police have busted four criminal gangs that made counterfeit Viagra, Cialis and Levitra as well as a host of other prescription drugs. The police said that these drugs were earmarked to be sold on the internet all around the world and that the operators of these websites were making millions of dollars and ripping off thousands of people every month.
Many people believed that it was impossible for these huge criminal organisations to operate without the government turning a blind eye to the problem and there was certainly some truth in that last year. But since the Chinese government executed the head of the Food and Drug Administration of China who had been reportedly taking bribes to allow suspect medication to be given permission to be sold a clear signal has been sent out to all criminal gangs manufacturing fake erectile dysfunction medication and other drugs.
Recently the Chinese government shutdown six factories and impounded over 40 tons of compounds and chemicals that were used to make fake medicines. They arrested about twenty people in five different cities across China and other criminal gangs are reportedly getting extremely nervous.
At Ukmedix News we hope that these arrests will help to put an end to the millions of spam emails that people receive every day offering erectile dysfunction drugs which are mostly produced in China and India. We also hope that the Indian government will follow suit and also start to be tougher on the regulations of the production of medicines in their country too.
