Reports are coming into Ukmedix that a larger number of younger men seem to be suffering from erectile dysfunction. The dating game has changed to a certain extent these days with sex being readily available for many young men but this has been coupled with a great deal of pressure to perform in bed. This can be intimidating for men and the old idea of chase and eventual conquest of a woman is not so apparent anymore. For some men the fact that sex is so readily available and requires no great effort or skill to get it reduces the erotic thrill of it and along with the performance anxiety that comes along when dating sexually confident women, young men are getting more erectile dysfunction.
Other factors can cause erectile dysfunction in young men and they are binge drinking, drug abuse and when these are added to the above it is not suprising that many Universities in the UK are seeing higher than ever levels of erectile dysfunction. In fact some people might have noticed that the men in the new Viagra commercials are getting younger and this is due to Pfizer (makers of Viagra) reaching out to a younger target market who are in need of sexual function boosting.
A psychiatrist who sees many patients at Manchester University in the UK says that over the last 25 years he has never seen so many men complaining of sexual function problems as these days. Over 25% of them now apparently say that they have erectile dysfunction sometimes and that they need Viagra and other drugs to get themselves to perform. This high incidence of erectile dyfucntion among University students is being seen all over the UK and in the United States too, however exact statistics are difficult to evaluate as the nature of the problems means that it is almost impossible to really collect data accurately. One doctor specialising in erectile dysfunction says that as many as 30% of his patients with impotence are below 30.
For most young men erectile dysfunction is a problem connected with unhealthy lifestyle can often be corrected with a change in diet, stopping the use of antidepressants and stopping excess drinking. Performance anxiety is also suffered by alot of young men who date sexually aggressive women. Performance anxiety can be cured by being with an understanding sexual partner who is prepared to talk about the problem. The stress of performance anxiety can be very severe and worrying for a young man and the problem can get worse and worse if it is not dealt with quickly and properly.
Because of the casual nature of much University sex, often men are worried that they will be compared to the last guy and there is no emotion or any feelings involved other than the attainment of pleasure. A man is likely to perform best in bed when he is not being judged and given points for his performance but when he is relaxed and stress free. If a man is not worrying about how quickly he can get the woman to orgasm he may enjoy the sex more and is likely to stay aroused for longer.
