Beware Of Motorised Rickshaws

It is important to have a very comfortable seat...

At Ukmedix News we often get reports (and it is a much documented fact), that long periods sitting on a bicycle seat can cause you to suffer from erectile dysfunction. Other research and reports that we have come across show that men who operate heavy vibrating machinery or for example who drive Lorries, forklift trucks or similar vehicles for long periods of time can also have a higher incidence and risk of erectile dysfunction.

Beware Of Motorised Rickshaws

So that when we heard reports that many men who operate rickshaw type motorcycle taxis in countries like China, Africa and South America were also suffering from erectile dysfunction we were not surprised at all. The double fact of having a seat that puts pressure on the penile artery that is located just behind the testes and added to a bicycle seat that is vibrating puts you at a much higher risk of erectile dysfunction.

The penile artery goes along the perineum which is a sensitive part of the body in between the reproductive organs and the anus. Putting pressure on this area for long periods of time can cause the penile artery to close and therefore make it difficult for a man to get an erection.

In countries where men are less educated about what causes erectile dysfunction notably third world countries the stigma of impotence is terrible and there must be literally thousands and thousands of motorised rickshaws operators who suffer from erectile dysfunction and have absolutely no clue what is causing it.

Ukmedix News has come across a few initiatives where governments have tried to educate their people about the risks of the long term effects of riding motorised bicycles but some men refused to believe that it is their work which is causing the problem. There is also the added issue of the fact that many people who operate these machines are forced to do so out of financial necessity and therefore there is not much that they can do.

All we can do is advise men that it is important to have a very comfortable seat that puts the pressure not on the perineum but on the buttocks and also to have a thick seat that provides insulation from the vibrations of the engine.
