Impotence Among Different Races

Apparently according to research published in the Journal Of Sexual Medicine the numbers of men who suffer from erectile dysfunction vary from race to race. For example it was seen that white men over the age of 70 were seen to have a higher risk of ED when compared to other races and that black men often suffer from erectile dysfunction due to a urinary tract infection.
The study looked at all races and examined the information and data but the problem is that different races are exposed to different factors that can cause or cure erectile dysfunction. As a result there was no conclusive evidence that one races was less prone to erectile dysfunction when compared to another one. The only thing that the researchers could do was show that different races were exposed to different erectile dysfunction influences.
Another interesting fact was that Hispanic men who had received a good level of education were less likely to suffer from erectile dysfunction in older age. This could be for two reason, either that their education enables them to know how to keep fit and healthy and thus lower the chances of erectile dysfunction or that those men who did not get college educations would be in lower socio economic group that is therefore are more likely to suffer from obesity and heart disease that are again leading indicator of erectile dysfunction.
In order to assess which races are more likely to get erectile dysfunction it would be necessary to compare groups of men from different races but all of whom were in the same socio economic group and education level. From the limited information gleaned from this research it is definitely your environment and the way you live that will be the biggest determiner of whether or not you get erectile dysfunction and not whether you are white, black or Hispanic.
