Ukmedix has previously reported on the huge worldwide sex survey undertaken by Pfizer, the makers of the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra and its seems that some nations are not happy with the results and are not taking the criticism leveled at them lying down. In the survey which was designed to monitor sexual thinking as well as the frequency of sex undertaken by men in all big nations worldwide Malaysia scored the worst with a dismal 2.6 times monthly compared to the world average of 6.5 times monthly.
However Malaysian men are fighting back and say that quite simply 2.6 of good sex is better than 6.5 of bad sex arguing that it is the quality of the sex that matters and not the quantity. The difficulty with any sexual survey is that the nature of sex is embarrassing to people and due to this reason conservative countries such as Malaysia may have men being more reserved with questionnaries whereas other countries where sexual attitudes are more liberal may have men exaggerating the amount of sex that they get in a month.
So possibly Malaysian men are not all that timid after all and because they are arguing that the statistics are unclear and misleading is a sign that maybe they are not the least virile nation worldwide. In fact 81% of the the Malaysians questioned said that they had no complaints with their sex lives and 93% of Malaysian men felt that sex was an important part of life as opposed to 83% of the women questioned.
The worldwide sexual survey will be used by Pfizer in order to come up with different marketing strategies in different countries for maximum market penetration and to understand cultural sensitivities in various nations.
