In South Africa a big conference that is bringing experts from the world of urology and sexual dysfunction together to discuss many different issues is being held.  In South Africa a country that prides itself on the health of its people The Global Better Sex Survey has shown that nevertheless only 55% of males and 48% of females can claim to be "very satisfied" when it comes to their sex lives.

The study that is being carefully examined at the conference looked at and questioned over twelve thousand people in 27 nations including South Africa. The results from South Africa show that not only are many of the people living there not happy with their sex lives but also that they feel that they are not having enough sex either.

The extensive survey was done by simple door to door questioning in the big cities of Cape Town, Durban and Gauteng at the beginning of 2006 and Ukmedix has reported on the results of other countries from this survey that was sponsored by the drug giant Pfizer that makes Viagra, the world number 1 erectile dysfunction drug. Everyone who took part in the sex survey was asked whether they had had sex at least once the previous year.

The statistics showed (and this information is important to Pfizer) that around 50% of the men questioned had some form of erectile dysfunction whether it was mild or severe. Almost all men responded that they thought that it was important to give women pleasure when having sex.

The Pfizer Global Better Sex Survey has been ground breaking in the way that it has managed to assess attitudes and issues to sex all over the world and has helped Pfizer to market and position the Viagra drug for maximum sales in many countries.
