PETA Says Meat Causes Impotence

I Threw a Party but the Meat-Eaters Couldn’t Come...

The animal rights group calling themeselves the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals just recently tried to get billboards up in prominent places around America warning men that if they ate to much meat they could end up suffering from erectile dysfunction. The advertisements which showed a bikini clad babe holding a string of limp sausages was deemed by many local billboard agents as being too risqué and in the majority of cases the adverts were not shown. The advertisement had a slogan underneath which said ‘I Threw a Party but the Meat-Eaters Couldn’t Come’, and further down another strap line clearly stated that ‘Eating meat can cause impotence.’

PETA Says Meat Causes Impotence

Is there any truth to what the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals are saying? Well there is no doubt that eating a high fat diet can clog up the arteries which in turn can cause erectile dysfunction in the long term however it is not just meat that causes this problem but many different types of food.  Eating meat in big quantities could definitely be part of the problem for people who have elevated cholesterol and arterial problems but is unlikely to be the whole cause and reason for erectile dysfunction.

PETA also argues that millions of men who are taking Viagra, Cialis and Levitra to improve their erectile function are having to do so because they are consuming too much meat. At Ukmedix News we believe in sensible balanced diets and there is no clear evidence that eating meat causes erectile dysfunction.  There is evidence however that people who eat overly fatty diets, do not exercise and make unhealthy lifestyle choices are far more slightly to suffer from erectile dysfunction at some time in their lives. Basically people who maintain their health are likely to go into old age with a good erectile function.
