Are Impotence Patterns Changing...

King Louis XV is probably the best known example of this...

We were having one of our frank discussions in the Ukmedix Newsroom yesterday and someone said … “Do you think that more men suffered from erectile dysfunction in the past when to compared to now?”

Are Impotence Patterns Changing...

We often receive reports from emerging nations like India and China that claim that the big change in the way that men work and live and the fact that many of them in cities have high pressure jobs, eat unhealthily and are under a great deal of pressure to perform well for sexually confident women means that these days the incidence of erectile dysfunction is much higher.

While this could be true there is only really one difficulty with this statement and that is that prior to the onset of Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs there were virtually no surveys done on erectile dysfunction. Most men who suffered from ED never came forward to discuss their problems openly but since the arrival of Viagra and the fact that impotent men now know that they have a chance of ridding themselves of their problem many of them go and get help from doctors.

In the old days in the UK people often died much younger and a man was considered to be old at 50. Today a man at 50 is still expected to have vigorous sex life especially if he has a tiny bit of help from Viagra or the like. We can’t really know how many men suffered from erectile dysfunction in the old days and at what age they suffered from it but we can be almost sure that the ones who were fit and healthy and who did physical exercise were probably the least likely to have sexual problems. It is probably the richer people who prized idleness and overeating as signs of their affluence who were the ones who suffered from impotence the most. King Louis XV is probably the best known example of this.

One thing is for sure is that men who are alive today and who suffer from erectile dysfunction are the luckiest impotent men in the entire history of the world as they have a vast amount for information available to them and easy and simple cures in the vast majority of cases.  The erectile dysfunction drugs Viagra, Cialis and Levitra have really revolutionised the world and have given many men a new lease of life.
