The BMA hopes to get cooperation from other countries around the world

Ukmedix News welcomes the initiative of the British Medical Association which has launched a campaign to increase public awareness regarding the fact that there are many criminals operating illegal web sites selling counterfeit medicine online.

BMA Getting Tough On Illegal Online Pharmacies

Vivienne Nathanson who is the director of professional activities for the British Medical Association said that they hope the British government would become the leader in shutting down illegally operating web sites and they hope to get cooperation from other governments in different countries around the world.

The biggest problem regarding the sale of fake drugs online are the sales of Viagra, Cialis and Levitra the three erectile dysfunction medications which men are often too embarrassed to go to their local doctor or pharmacy and buy.

The British Medical Association said that they would be working with the Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Authority (MHRA) as well as the World Health Organisation to raise awareness both in the UK and abroad about the dangers of illegal and substandard Viagra, Cialis and Levitra along with all other medications sold online.

At Ukmedix News we are glad that concrete steps are being taken to prevent people from ending up with substandard medication which could be dangerous for them not only because it is substandard but also because it might not be the right medication for them. Any web site that offers you Viagra, Cialis or Levitra without a prescription is selling fake medication and is almost certainly not asking you any questions about your health.

At Ukmedix not only are you required to answer a whole list of questions regarding your health but you must also satisfy a doctor that any medicine is right for you so that he can authorise a prescription for you.

Ukmedix also make use of a special system called Pharmacheck which allows you to see which pharmacy based in the United Kingdom your medicine has come from.
