Many people think that there are just three major erectile dysfunction drugs in the world namely Viagra, Cialis and Levitra. Not many people know that there are two other erectile dysfunction medications that have been shown to be effective and they both come from the Asian country South Korea.

The first one is now 2 years old and is called Zydena and is manufactured by the Korean drug company Dong-A Pharm. It is a PDE-5 inhibitor and so it works in exactly the same way as Viagra, Cialis and Levitra. At present this drug has any been approved for sale only in Korea and thus is not to be found in European or American markets. The company however is trying to get approval for these two markets but the clinical testing required will take a couple more years. It has also been in extensive talks with a number of Arab countries and even China to get its erectile dysfunction medication licensed.
The newer erectile dysfunction medication from Korea was developed and researched by another Korean company called SK Chemicals and at present at Ukmedix News we really don’t know much about it. We cannot confirm whether it is a PDE-5 inhibitor like the others or whether it works with some other new mechanism. The new drug that is called MVIX has received full approval from the Korean Food and Drug Administration and will be on sale in the country sometime in the middle of August. Ukmedix News will be interested to see whether the drug sells well and to learn about how it works.
Despite the worldwide dominance in the erectile dysfunction market of Viagra, Cialis and Levitra there are a number of companies that are investing heavily in their own impotence medications too. The money to be made from launching a successful erectile dysfunction medication is immense and thus companies are prepared to risk big sums in research and development of new products.
