Congratulations to the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) who have scored yet again another success in stopping the supply of fake Viagra, Cialis and Levitra pills into the United Kingdom.

The British police in conjunction with the MHRA raided the home of Shazia Amjad in Uxbridge, London following months of undercover investigations and found thousands of counterfeit erectile dysfunction medicine estimated to be worth over a quarter of a million pounds sterlling. Along with the Viagra, Cialis and Levitra there were dangerous slimming medications, painkillers and even anabolic steroids.
Shazia Amjad was sent to prison for two and a half years when the judge heard that she had been packaging and supplying thousands of erectile dysfunction pills over the last few years. Being caught red handed the woman pleaded guilty at the Croydon Crown Court.
The MHRA said that they were aware that the drugs would be ordered online and then would be smuggled from Pakistan to her in the United Kingdom. She would then repackage them and send them to customers so they were given the impression that drugs had come from the United Kingdom.
The police officer who headed this investigation says she was deliberately exploiting innocent people for her own financial gain. The head of drug enforcement at the MHRA said this was a sign that people should be extremely careful about buying medicines online.
At Ukmedix News we are aware of hundreds of online scams and that is why the Ukmedix website uses a special system called the Pharmacheck System so that you can identify and locate the exact pharmacy from where your medicine comes. This means that you can have the peace of mind to know you are buying the real product and not some fake substandard medication made in a dirty factory in Pakistan.
Shazia Amjad is likely to be deported to Pakistan following her prison sentence.
