Watch Out For Impotence Hearsay

One thing which we fight very hard against and actively look for in all erectile dysfunction issues is unsubstantiated hearsay and cultural misconceptions regarding all sexual problems. Sometimes news reports come in to the newsroom are so ridiculous that we don’t even bother with them however sometimes a report comes in that looks very credible but on closer examination it becomes clear that whoever wrote the report needs to have his head checked.

Recently we came across some research that was supposedly done by the Indian Council of Medical Research which looked specifically at the problem of erectile dysfunction and sterility in India which seems to be on the rise. The researchers blamed changes in lifestyles and high pressure jobs that are causing stress and anxiety for most of the erectile dysfunction, however they even went as far as to say that another major factor in the reason why men were becoming sterile and impotent in India was due to wearing tight jeans. Yes you did read that properly… Tight jeans!
Now, there is something to be said for the fact that sperm is best kept at body temperature which is regulated by the testes and that wearing very tight and warm clothing can increase the temperature and therefore impact slightly on your sterility. However the idea that because people are wearing tight jeans all over India, erectile dysfunction and sterility are on the increase is frankly quite ridiculous.
In parts of Pakistan people believe that the polio vaccine that has been given out as part of a United Nations program to eradicate the disease contains a special agent that will cause impotence and thus many young boys are not being given the vaccine. It seems to be that sometime religious leaders are very suspicious of western culture and tried to stop its influence by claiming that it can cause some sort of disease. The wearing of jeans by men and women in India is sometimes frowned upon and at Ukmedix News we suspect that the rumour that jeans can calls impotence will be well received by religious and Indian cultural leaders who will see it as a way to lessen the influence of the west.
Erectile dysfunction is normally a very simple problem to deal with and it is cultural taboos and uninformed hearsay that are the biggest obstacles to getting proper treatment for erectile dysfunction and to help men have healthy sexual relationships.
