Many of the men who take these erectile dysfunction medications are elderly

This is not something to be too worried about but at Ukmedix News we like to report all the news about all the medications and issues that we deal with. The Food & Drug Administration in American has ordered that new warnings must be put on the labelling of erectile dysfunction medications Viagra, Cialis and Levitra regarding possible hearing loss. In all they say they have found 29 cases of sudden hearing loss in men who have used one of the drugs Viagra, Cialis or Levitra.
              
The Food & Drug Administration has been looking at the connection between hearing loss and PDE-5 inhibitors for some time after a report was published about a possible link. The Food & Drug Administration said that in 1/3 of these cases the hearing loss was temporary and in the other 2/3 of cases either they were unaware of the final outcome or the hearing loss was still present.

Eli Lilly who make the erectile dysfunction medication Cialis said that when they did their studies they reported 1.1 incidents of hearing loss per million men which was in fact below the average hearing loss rate for the general population. Pfizer who make the erectile dysfunction medication Viagra said that there was no casual relationship between Viagra and hearing loss. Bayer who make the erectile dysfunction drug Levitra said that they had no problem in complying with the Food & Drug Administration’s request for a label change.

At Ukmedix News we can pretty safely say that these erectile dysfunction drugs will not cause you to suffer from hearing loss and it appears that the Food & Drug Administration are being overly cautious by warning about possible hearing loss. It is also worth remembering that many of the men who take these erectile dysfunction medications are in fact elderly and therefore they are statistically quite likely to suffer from hearing loss at some point.
