Sexual Function And Sexual Fetishes

Everyone knows that the human body is complicated and the more study that is done the more scientists realise that sexual function is a complicated process involving many compounds and mechanisms. In fact one part of the brain that is very little understood is the part that deals with sexual fantasy and sexual fetishes. Most sexual and erectile dysfunction is a simple blood flow problem and most men are able to get aroused sexually normally but the mind boggles to think what is going on in the head of a person who has a foot fetish and how this translates into better sexual function.

Researchers in the famous University of Bologna have been looking into the different sexual fetishes that people have and while they have not been able to tell why some people have better sexual function when exposed to certain fetishes the research is likely to be used by scientists in the future to do further studies. The research paper that is to soon be seen in The International Journal of Impotence Research shows that almost 50% of people had a sexual interest in the feet or toes of their partners over and other parts of the body.
The researchers also evaluated actual objects that men and women found sexy and almost 2/3rds of the men noted that high heels and long boots aroused them sexually. This would sound obvious as they highlight the legs of a woman, which are very sexual objects, but other items that were seen to arouse men and women were just plain weird.
For example out of five thousand people, 150 men and women said they thought that hearing aids were sexy and 2 women even admitted that pacemakers turned them on. Stethoscopes got a mention (oooh doctor!) but more worrying was that catheters rated a mention by some men and women.
More normal sexual fetishes were sexy clothing, uniforms and underwear.
