This could change the way men and women view sex...

The all elusive female sexual function drug keeps on confounding scientists all over the world. The scientists at Pfizer have given up trying Viagra on women because even though it can improve blood flow in the female genital region they realised that women and sexual function is a far more tricky problem that simple blood flow.

The Elusive Female Orgasm Pill

Scientists are increasingly coming round to the idea that the way to enhance female sexual function is all in the mind. The use of brain scans on women is the way forward they reckon and lots of money has been invested in this. What the scientist do is get women to have orgasms when they are linked up to brain scanning machines and the results are studied carefully.

What they have seen is that the part of the brain that deals with pleasure is very busy during orgasm (this is pretty obvious) but that the area that deals with fear and anxiety shuts down. This could mean that for a women to have an orgasm she has to be completely comfortable and secure and this is what the scientists should focus their efforts on for a female sexual arousal drug.

The scientists have also been studying the few women that are able to make themselves orgasm purely buy thinking about something they like. This ability is only present in a few women but it is vital that scientists speak to them and scan their brains to find out what is going on in their. What is clear is that blood flow drugs are not the answer for women and will only work for men. A drug to remedy Female Sexual Dysfunction would be a better selling drug than the Viagra, Cialis and Levitra drugs put together and the drug companies know this!

Ukmedix News reckons that within the decade women too will have their very own Viagra and this could change the way men and women view sex and their relationships thus creating an even bigger revolution than Viagra did.
