Tongkat Ali, The Malaysian Erectile Dysfunction Medicine

At Ukmedix News we see a lot of stories about natural Viagra and most of them we just bin straight away. There are a lot of frauds out there who want your money and are trying to give you some bogus product that apparently grows on trees and will immediately restore your erectile dysfunction. If these so called natural products were so amazing they would be more famous than Viagra and they wouldn’t have to use the saying “natural Viagra” in order to promote themselves but would become products in their own right.

However recently we came across a story in Kuala Lumpur the capital of Malaysia where a lot of men have been talking about a natural herb called tongkat ali. Needless to say the “make a quick buck and get out” brigade have already gone in there and are already setting pills and drinks that supposedly have tongkat ali in them and we advise you at Ukmedix News to stay well away from them until tongkat ali has been tried and tested in a proper laboratory.
In the meantime research is being done on the natural herb by the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia which could mean than a few years time when all the clinical tests have been completed and the relevant health authorities are sure that the herb is safe as well as effective, it could end up on the market being an alternative to the big three of Viagra, Cialis and Levitra.
Older men from Malaysia claim that this herb can really make a change, but the problem with these claims is simply because erectile dysfunction drugs are known to have an extremely strong and powerful placebo affect and so the men who are swearing by these products are those who possibly have experienced extra confidence after having taken the herbal medicine and whose erectile function did not really improve but just that they thought it improved. Possibly there are thousands of men out there who also tried the herbal remedy and for whom it did not work at all, and these men are probably not coming forward out of shame and embarrassment.
From the many research projects that we have come across that Ukmedix News we know that hearsay and traditional remedies are to be treated with great caution for very often they have no proven medical affect on erectile dysfunction at all, But as always we keep an open mind on any new product and are prepared to consider giving it affirms up when it has had proper clinical testing. We will be keeping an eye out for tongkat ali and if the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia has anything interesting to report will let you know.
