Ukmedix is carefully following the progress of two new treatment erectile dysfunction therapies that may one day be serious rivals to the drugs Viagra, Cialis and Levitra.
One of these erectile dyfunction remedies is a drug called SLx-2101 and works in a similar way to the Viagra, Cialis and Levitra namely by blocking the enzyme which causes the smooth muscles in the penis to contract. The advantage that SLX-2101 will have over other prescription erectile dysfunction drugs is that will be quicker to act and will keep your sexual function going for longer than the currently available ED drugs.
Research is also being done on a drug called avanafil that if the claims are true can reach maximum effect in 35 minutes of taking it, which is better than the rivals on the market. Many people report that the problem with erectile dysfunction drugs is that sexual encounters don't always happen as planned and so a fast acting drug is essential to spontaneous love making.
Avanafil also has an advantage in that testing has shown that people who are using nitrates for heart conditions may also be able to take it. This could be a big boost for sales of the drugs as Viagra, Levitra and Cialis are all contraindicated for nitrate heart drugs and very often people who have heart problems also have erectile dysfunction problems too.
Erectile dysfunction drugs have made million of pounds for their manufacturers and other drug companies are keen to have their own. This ensures that money and time keeps on pouring into sexual function research and development.
