Just when we thought we had heard it all a new report has come into Ukmedix News which says that some Chinese people make a positive effort to eat cat every now and again because they believe it can cure them of erectile dysfunction. In the south of China in the big city of Guangzhou it is not hard to find restaurants that openly have cat on the menu. The cats are made into a dish that literally translates into a ‘scramble of dragon and tiger’.

The report that was originally penned by an investigative newspaper called Xin Kuai Bao was very critical of the way that the cats are treated and even said that sometimes the cats are boiled alive. The report also noted that the blood of a cat is used in the cooking process which supposedly adds to the erectile potency of the dish.

At Ukmedix News we often receive reports about the illegal trade in tiger parts around the country but this is the first time that we have learned that even normal domestic cats are eaten in some remote Chinese provinces. Apparently also there are special cat catchers who round up stray and lost cats and then sell them to restaurants owners.

We hardly feel that we need to tell you this, but eating a cat will have absolutely no effect on your erectile function.
