Everyone has heard the rumours concerning a bicycle seat and impotence and there is definitite evidence that in some cases excess bicycle use can cause the artery going to your sensitive regions to clam up and not function properly. In the Tour de France for example the riders spend 20 days on a tiny seat and cycle nearly 3,700 kilometres and this can't be good for their erectile function, however in China over 600million men cycle everyday and there are no reports of higher rates of impotence in China that in other countries.
Many cyclist claim that cycling has absolutely no effect on their sexual function at all and that the impotence scare is just a myth. However for other cyclists who have suffered from impotence or those who don't want to find out if they will suffer from it there is help at hand with a new generation of specialist cyclist seats. These new bike seats are specially designed to keep the weight of the cyclist off the all important penile artery and put the pressure on the bum cheeks where they really should be.
One new product designed by a certain Mr Minkow has come up with a seat that should be far safer and healthier for the penile artery. It is manufactured by a company called Specialized and is called the Body Geometry Seat. First you have to sit in a foam device that measures the contours of your backside and from the imprint that you leave the right seat will be recommended for you. The foam device can show where the most pressure is applied and they can give you a seat that is really comfortable as well as safe and guaranteed not to effect your sexual function.
The new seat has proven to be popular with those cyclists that are on their saddls for many hours a day and who want to make sure that they are comfy and safe when on the bike.
