Everyone knows what menopause is these days but the male equivalent that is called Andropause is not common knowledge among most people. It is the medical term used by doctors to describe the effect of getting old in men and includes the decrease of sperm quantity and erectile dysfunction as two of its symptoms.
Andropause is different to menopause in that it does not immediately stop the reproductive capability of men like menopause does for women but it does effect the libido and sexual stamina and eventually fertility in men.
Andropause can cause impotence, infections of the urinary tract and a host of infections, and a host of prostate problems. If you have any of the Andropause symptoms it may be advisable to vist a doctor or health clinic and get yourself checked out. It is likely that the doctor will be able to prescribe erectile dysfunction medication for those suffering from impotence.
Erectile dysfunction drugs, Viagra, Levitra, Cialis and Uprima are all used by men suffering from andropause to increase their sexual function and bedroom stamina and these men represent a large part of the erectile dysfunction drug market.
