OK, this might seem a bit extreme but have you ever considered the idea that erectile dysfunction could kill you! Well it is not be exactly the inability to sustain an erection which is killing you but by ignoring your erectile dysfunction you could be sending yourself to an early death. Many men who start to suffer from erectile dysfunction ignore it, pretend that they don’t care or are simply too embarrassed to tell a doctor about it and therefore it goes unreported on their medical history and is left untreated.

It is however possible that the erectile dysfunction is in fact a signal that there is some other serious and dangerous health complication which could be fatal if untreated. Some doctors even say that erectile dysfunction is the human body’s way of warning a man that he had better go and get medical help.
Men who have healthy hearts tend to have healthy erectile function and therefore when a man begins to experience heart disease it is often his erection quality which is the first thing to suffer. Doctors say you should never ignore erectile dysfunction even if you have a nonexistent sex life and you have no desire to keep having erections. You don’t necessarily need to get treatment to improve your erectile function but you should be aware of why you are suffering from the condition.
Some erectile dysfunction is admittedly completely normal for aging men and does not signify that they have other health problems, however if you are under the age of 50 that chances are that your erectile dysfunction is linked to another medical illness such as heart disease, hypertension or diabetes as well as a whole list of other problems.
While the erectile dysfunction drugs Viagra, Cialis and Levitra may help men suffering from erectile dysfunction due to other medical conditions it is important that you get to the heart of the problem and get medical advice about how to treat the cause of your erectile dysfunction as well as the erectile dysfunction itself.
