How Impotence Can Kill

The Guardian Newspaper in the United Kingdom recently told the terrible story of a young man who commited suicide when he couldn't deal with his impotence problem anymore. The story told by his mother explains how it was only after he had killed himself and they examined his computer and were able to get into his Yahoo and Facebook accounts and also from speaking to his ex girlfriend that they realised that he had been never been able to get an erection. There was also a tragic letter in which he wrote to his girlfriend apologising because his “little man” wouldn’t work and her reply asking if she could do something to help.

In this case it is probable that the young man’s erectile dysfunction was caused by damage to the pituitary gland which was brought on by a head injury he had experienced when he was seven years old. Damage to the pituitary gland can cause depression and impotence which can actually be treated. The fact that this man killed himself because he could not bear to live with his erectile dysfunction which could have been treated makes the story even more tragic and even more terrible for his family to bear.
Stories like this highlight the dangers to men from erectile dysfunction and show how important it is to go and speak to a professional to get help. It also shows how most erectile dysfunction is caused not by something actually wrong with the penis itself but by other things such as the pituitary gland or poor blood flow to the penile artery.
Women can and should play an important role in helping men to get treatment for erectile dysfunction. Women should never think that the cause of the erectile dysfunction is because of them as it is almost never the case. The erectile dysfunction is always a medical problem that needs to be treated and men are often hesitant to go to doctor out of fear of embarrassment and shame. However with a little bit of sensitive encouragement from the woman they are more likely to get treatment.
Don’t learn to live with your erectile dysfunction problem because it is likely to be an indication of something more serious which needs to be treated.

What a tragedy, but a very useful inforative article, even though very often people refuse to talk about it even to their nearest and dearest, so more of these articles please as they are encouraging us to do something about it. Thanks.

Funnily enough I've now got long term impotence from using proscar finasteride for hair loss, which you reported as being completely safe in an article here presumably passed on by the manufacturer.

@sufferer, Your impotence is not caused by finasteride. Get yourself checked out. Also Proscar, (not for hair loss) is different to Propecia, (for hair loss) in that it is a much bigger dose of finasteride. Proscar is used to treat prostate problems which are almost certainly the cause of your impotence...
