Health More Important Than Age

While aging definitely has an effect on the quality of a man’s erectile function the most important indicator and factor which comes into play is good overall health. There isn't a reason why a man in his sixties and seventies should be unable to perform if he has eaten healthily, taken regular exercise, stayed away from cigarettes and generally taken care of his body.

The same also applies to women according to Stacy Tessler Lindau who is a gynaecologist from Chicago who conducted research on over 3,000 individuals over the age of 57. She concluded that physical health was a far more effective barometer of measuring sexual function than relying on age alone. Like men, women need good cardiovascular function and blood flow to enjoy sex to the full.
Most experts on sexual function agree that if your body is in good shape overall then it is likely men will be able to sustain erections and women should have no problem in enjoying sex and even reaching orgasm in their old age.
As much as possible men should not try to rely on the erectile dysfunction drugs Viagra, Cialis and Levitra when they are too young and instead concentrate on keeping themselves healthy and fit. This might involve substantial lifestyle changes such as regular exercise but the dividends in the future could be substantial if it means that you are still able to have sex in your seventy’s and eighty’s.
Life is so much more fun if you are healthy and for this reason you should think carefully about what you eat and drink and how much you exercise now and don’t wait till it is too late. If you lose your erectile function because of poor health it will be much more difficult to get it back again. Like everything else when it comes to sexual health prevention is always better than cure!
