The Advertising Standards Authority in the UK has come down heavily on an advertisement promoting a hair loss treatment by the cricket player Shane Warne. In the print advertisement Shane is seen promoting the latest ‘scalp fitness program’ which would also include ‘laser therapy technology’ that is supposedly approved by United States Food & Drug Administration. In fact this claim is not true because laser therapy technology has not been approved but merely been awarded what they call ‘clearance’ meaning that it poses no health dangers but it has not been tested for clinical effectiveness.

The Advertising Standards Authority called the advertisement ‘misleading’ and told Advanced Hair that it must be withdrawn immediately. This is not the first time that Advanced Hair has been in trouble with its advertisements which tend to overstate medical claims.
The way we see it at Ukmedix News is that you must never believe any advertisement for hair loss unless it can be backed up by independent clinical research. This does not mean research done by the company itself but research for effectiveness which has been accepted by either the EMEA or the FDA. Any other research is extremely unlikely to meet scientifically recognised standards and therefore should be avoided.
Of all the male pattern baldness remedies available today the most effective is the hair loss drug Propecia made by the pharmaceutical giant Merck. This hair loss drug can also claimed to be the most tested hair loss medication in history with continual research going on for over a decade. You can see for yourself the clinical data presented on the Propecia web site.
The drug Propecia is a prescription medication and therefore a consultation is required with a doctor. This can be done online discreetly on the Ukmedix web site. It is also possible to check the veracity of your Propecia medication using the unique Pharmacheck system which allows you to get the name and address of the dispensing pharmacy as well as the batch numbers of your medication which you can then check with Merck.
Using useless hair loss medication actually ends up compounding the problem because during this time the male pattern baldness gets worse. When it comes to male balding sooner rather than later is always better and increases the likelihood of success.
