At Ukmedix News we have published plenty of research to show the importance of getting a good night's sleep in order to have good erectile function and good sex. Apart from the obvious benefits of having sex when you are well rested there is plenty of science to show that your libido and sexual prowess are boosted after a good night's sleep.

What we want to talk about here though is not just getting good sleep for good sex but also the importance of having sex at the right time in order to make sure that you are performing at your peak! The first bit of advice that we would give you is not to have sex last thing before you go to sleep. Obviously this is the most convenient time to have sex because you are already in bed and the chances are that there is nobody to disturb you but this is probably the worst time you could choose. Last thing at night you are physically tired and your body is already looking forward to sleep and so it is definitely not the time to have sex.
Probably the best time to have sex is first thing in the morning. In fact research shows that male testosterone levels peak just before you wake up and it is pretty normal to wake up with an erection anyway. So instead of trying to have sex just before you fall asleep instead whisper sweet nothings to your wife as you drop off and tell her that you will be making love to her moment you wake up. Another very good time to have sex is in the afternoon following a short siesta! Obviously this is not practical for many people who work long hours but there is always the weekend and holidays to try this out.
Planning ahead to create specific and different times for sex can take the monotony out of regular sex with the same person. Some married couples even go and stay in a hotel for the night in order to get some quality time together without the distractions of married life. You might find making the effort to have an exciting and varied sex life could mean that you never have to take one of the erectile dysfunction medications Viagra, Cialis or Levitra.
