A new survey from Pfizer, the Asia Pacific Sexual Health & Overall Wellness survey has come up with the conclusion that most men and women in the Asia Pacific area are not satisfied with their sex lives. The biggest cause of lack of sexual satisfaction is poor erectile function.

In all Pfizer looked at thirteen Asia Pacific countries and noted that men who had erections which were “suboptimal” were more likely to have less satisfactory sex. Pfizer also commented that there was a link between having good erectile function and a positive outlook on life, wellbeing and good sexual health for men and women.
The figures show that 54 percent of men who have good erectile function claim to feel very good about their relationships compared to only 47 percent of men who suffer from mild erectile dysfunction. More significantly when the partners of the men with good erectile function men were questioned 65 percent of them claimed to feel very good about their relationships compared to just under a third (32%) with partners having mild erectile dysfunction.
The results of the survey also pointed to the fact that men and women who are ‘completely’ or ‘very satified’ with their sexual relationships are three times more likely to be happy with their relationships and their lives generally when compared to those men and women who were only ‘somewhat’ or ‘not at all satisfied’ with their sex lives.
This survey shows the importance of sex to a relationship and highlights the dangers to a relationship if erectile dysfunction occurs. Men and women need to talk openly about erectile dysfunction and should not be embarrassed or ashamed about getting treatment for it. Erectile dysfunction is nearly always a simple penile arterial blood flow problem and you should not make a big deal about it.
The study was carried out by Harris Interactive a market research company in Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, New Zealand, Taiwan, China, India and Thailand.
Pfizer who sponsored this study produce the world best-selling erectile dysfunction medication Viagra.
