Getting Italian Men To Talk Impotence And Viagra Is Not Easy

to open up about sexual problems through the back door

Some interesting, practical and sensible advice comes from the FECC of Australia whose president was recently asked to speak at the Andrology Australia conference. Dr Pino Migliorino explained that the key to getting certain groups of men to live healthily was all about communication and realistic expectations.

getting italian men to talk impotence and viagra is not easy

For instance he pointed out that many men hailing from countries in southern Europe were not aware of the importance of diet and exercise.  While he admitted that migrants to Australia from Mediterranean countries did follow a Mediterranean diet, the abundance of food meant that while they ate healthy food they tended to eat too much of it.

Another thing he observed was that it was no good encouraging Italian men of a certain age to go to gyms, because they just would not go.  On the other hand if you could encourage them to walk and take a 'passagiata' you were much more likely to have success in getting them to lose weight and be healthy.

He also spoke about the problem of getting Italian men to talk about erection difficulties with their doctor. He said that because of the very patriarchal nature of Italian society an Italian man would have a great problem to talk about erectile dysfunction. On the other hand Italian men have very little difficulty talking about urinary problems and this he said was the way that doctors could get them to open up about sexual problems through the back door.

He said that by showing that impotence was related to other aspects of health such as hypertension, obesity or diabetes, Italian men would understand that any erectile difficulties they had were purely physical and had nothing to do with their 'manliness'.

In the case of male and female sexual health the key to being a good doctor is being able to get your patients to open up and talk and is sometimes requires stealth tactics and indirect questioning which leads to the root problem.

At Ukmedix News we know this better than most people. We have seen how the Ukmedix Forum allows people to talk openly and without fear about sexual problems and also how online consultations have enabled thousands of men to get prescription medical help for impotence in the form of Viagra, Cialis and Levitra.

In Italy where close knit societies make it even more difficult for men to get discreet sexual health consultations, online pharmacies such as Miomedix have proven to be a great relief.

I have lived in Italy for years and I know that Italian men would rather die than admit that they are impotent! I take my hat off to any doctor who can get one to admit it, I hope they do because then help would be there for them. Very good article, is it translated into Italian?
