The chances are that the FDA will give full approval to avanafil

The pharmaceutical company Vivus Inc recently made the announcement that the American Food & Drug Administration has accepted its application to review its new medication to treat erectile dysfunction and that the review will be completed by April 29, 2012.

fda gives green light for avanafil review

This is very good news for Vivus Inc who have been busy conducting Phase 3 clinical trials to show that the drug avanafil is not just safe but also effective. The results of the trials which were conducted on more than 1,350 volunteers show that avanafil was effective in helping men suffering from erectile dysfunction and also men suffering from diabetes related erectile dysfunction.

Vivus Inc say that their erectile dysfunction medication works faster than Viagra, Cialis and Levitra and is extremely well tolerated with minimal side effects. All PDE-5 erectile dysfunction medications have minor side effects which include facial flushing and blocked sinuses but Vivus Inc say that avanafil has significantly reduced this problem.

The chances are that the FDA will give full approval to Vivus and its drug avanafil because it is in fact very similar to Viagra, Cialis and Levitra in that it is a PDE-5 inhibitor and so it works in exactly the same way by enlarging blood vessels in the penile artery to allow better blood flow to the penis.

One of the biggest complaints that men have who use erectile dysfunction medications is that the drugs take as long as 30 minutes to work which means that it is very difficult to have spontaneous sexual activity.  Eli Lilly who manufacture Cialis have dealt with this problem by creating Cialis Daily which is a tablet designed to be taken every morning so that you are constantly ready for sex should you want to have it.

Bayer who manufacture Levitra have also come up with a solution in the form of Levitra Orodispersible which they say can be effective in as little as ten minutes.
