Lots of other research projects say the same thing but yet another one shows that erectile dysfunction is often a pre warning to a man that he is suffering from heart disease or arteriosclerosis. According to Dr Kaufman from the Urology Research Options of Aurora if you get erectile dysfunction you should be looking at the your broader lifestyle and see whether you are living healthily and eating and exercising properly.
Dr Kaufman even suggested that erectile dysfunction could be the first warning signs that you are in the danger zone for a heart attack. He also pointed out that a man who had penile artery troubles due to arteriosclerosis would almost certainly have the same problem in other arteries in his body and especially in important arteries that surround the heart and lungs. Dr Kaufman says that any man with erectile dysfunction should get his heart checked out as well as his penis.
From his own research of the available data regarding erectile dysfunction and heart disease Dr Kaufman can show that any man who is suffering from erectile dysfunction is almost twice as likely to also have a heart disease problem too. In one study that looked at over 25,000 men it was also seen that than men who were over forty years old and who had erectile dysfunction had a chance of getting a heart attack that was 3 or 4 times higher than the risk for men aged 30-39.
The research available also shows that men who have erectile dysfunction tend to have much more serious and dangerous and fatal heart attacks when compared to the men who do not suffer from the impotence problem.
Other things that are related to erectile dysfunction are high blood pressure, diabetes, and being obese. The researchers recommend a little bit of exercise daily to seriously reduce the chance of men with erectile dysfunction from getting hearts attacks.
