Why People Use Online Pharmacies

Written by Stuart Stevens | Monday, 20 March 2006

The growth of online pharmacies has been phemonomenal in the last 10 years. The convenience of buying certain "embarassing" drugs for say erectile dysfunction without having to explain your problem to a stranger has led to a big demand for Viagra, Cialis,Levitra and Uprima online. There are two types of online pharmacy however and online buyers must be careful from whom they buy.

The first type of online pharmacy are the ones that send you junk to your email address, promising very low prices and no medical check ups. These are to be avoided as many of them are operated by illegal and criminal gangs who will probably not send you anything and even if they do, it certainly won't be an original erectile dysfunction medication but a cheap and possibly dangerous copy made in a factory that doesn't comply to EU health and safety rules. You may even find large amounts of money taken from your credit card. If you think buying Viagra face to face is embarassing, imagine having to ring up your bank manager and explain how you were duped into buying impotence pills.

The other type of online pharmacy are the regulated and licenced ones. This means that each order is accompanied with a proper prescription and actually comes from a licenced pharmacy with trained pharmacists and doctors available for consultation. Sometimes it can be difficult to see which is which online but you must always be able to get a telephone number of a reputable online pharmacy so that if you want you can speak to someone about your order and any problems you want to discuss.

If you find the right online pharmacy, ordering online will be fast convenient and most importantly safe. A good online pharmacy will deliver discreetly in 24 hours in a plain parcel without your postman being aware of what is in the parcel.

Very often buying online is cheaper than going to a high street pharmacy. This is partly because the prescription is given as part of the online cost whereas normally you are expected to visit and pay your doctor for the prescription. Online pharmacies have less expenses and overheads to pay and these cost savings are often passed onto the customer.
