Sueddeutsche Zeitung, a German newspaper has published a story about an erectile dysfunction treatment which supposedly boosted libido more than the Viagra drug. The report notes that in clinical trials done with this new medicine on 50 men they all claimed to have had much better sex, more fun in the bedroom and even felt better about themselves.

Hmmm, said the Ukmedix Newsroom in unison!! We are all for new erectile dysfunction medication and research however this one is unlikely to make the grade! Firstly Viagra is not designed to boost libido. Claiming that their medication boosted libido over and above that of Viagra means that they had no idea how Viagra works. Viagra is an erectile dysfunction medication which means that it facilitates erections but does not boost sexual desire.
Another point is that the researchers had a control group who were using Viagra. A control group should be given a placebo pill in a clinical trial and not another drug. This clinical test therefore would not be given any credence by any health authority. Even the name of this erectile dysfunction drug ‘Plantagrar’ shows that it is not a serious medication as it plays on the Viagra name and uses the word ‘Plant’ to imply that it is completely natural.
According to a certain Olaf Schroeder at Berlin`s Charite Hospital the Plantagrar medication which will be available next year uses a natural herb called tribulus terrestris, the Maca root which comes from the Andes and grape juice extract. Everyone in the Ukmedix Newsroom agreed that Plantagrar is a complete waste of time and should not be considered as a serious erectile dysfunction medication but more as a gimmick dreamt up by slick marketing men to make a quick buck.
Any improvement reported by the men would have been completely down to a placebo effect and nothing else. If you are serious about getting help for your erectile dysfunction the first thing you must do is go and see doctor who will probably prescribe you one of the three medications Viagra, Cialis or Levitra.
One thing is for sure they will not prescribe you Plantagrar!
