At the root of hair loss in men there is often a confidence issue

To give you an idea of the importance that men place on having a good head of hair a group of hair transplant surgeons decided to conduct a survey to ask them what they would be prepared to give up in order to regain their hair.

What Is Your Hair Worth...

For example almost half of the men surveyed said that they would give up their life savings in order to have a full head of hair. Other startling revelations were that almost 40 percent of men said that they would give up sex to get their hair back and many others said that they would even give up their weekends for the same thing.

Many men claim that when they started to lose their hair their social life started to suffer. Just under ¾ of the men questioned said that they were often thought to be much older than they really were when their hair started to fall out and that this caused them to lose confidence in social situations.

At the root of hair loss in men there is often a confidence issue. Men who can overcome the low self esteem associated with Male Pattern Baldness do not consider it to be such a problem however for other men especially those who associate their identity with a lot of hair, losing it can be extremely traumatic.

The most important thing that men realise is that hair loss is unlikely to go away on its own and that they should get professional help to deal with it if it is seriously worrying for them. There are number of treatments that can help such as the hair loss drug Propecia made by the pharmaceutical company Merck. This prescription drug is the most successful male pattern baldness remedy in the world to date and has helped millions of men. The sooner you act the more likely it is to work.

Aren't bald men meant to be sexier? or is it a myth? As the article says 'there is professional help, and drug remedies on the market.
