You might be confidently looking around at the male members of your family all of whom have thick hair despite some of them being elderly, and patting yourself on the back that you have good genes. You might be pretty sure that you do not have to worry about male pattern baldness when you start to notice hair falling out and that your hair is getting thinner!

Whether or not you get male pattern baldness is all down to your genes which come from your mother and father and from their mothers and fathers and so on, going back centuries. Just because the immediate male members of your family do not suffer from male pattern baldness does not mean that you are immune but merely that you have a slightly better chance of getting to your golden years with a full head of hair.
At Ukmedix News we have spoken to lots of men who are almost incredulous about the fact that they are suffering from male pattern baldness because they say that their brothers, their father and their grandfathers all have a full head of hair. They are somehow convinced that there must be some sort of genetic mistake or that they are suffering from a different type of hair loss when in fact their hair loss is just part of a random genetic lottery which unfortunately they did not get the winning ticket in!
At Ukmedix News we often preach that men should never get depressed about their male pattern baldness and that they should take positive steps to deal with it such as getting a prescription for the hair loss drug Propecia. They should also make an extra effort with other aspects of their appearance such as getting fit, looking after their skin and dressing well.
While having hair is an important attribute to attracting the opposite sex, confidence and feeling comfortable in your skin is much more important!
