The survey done in a number of countries in the Asia Pacific region showed that overall men from Singapore were the most self conscious when it came to hair loss with 70 percent of them stating that having thin hair would make them less attractive to women.
The survey which also looked at attitudes to male pattern baldness from women also shows that women from Singapore would prefer their men to have a full head of hair, and this preference was stronger if the men were younger. They also said that older men who were losing their hair should shave it all off rather than trying to cover it up using a comb over hair cut.
Surveys done into attitudes to male pattern baldness normally come up with pretty obvious results, and this one is no exception. However what is interesting, and what other surveys which we have seen at Ukmedix News show is that men who face their hair loss confidently, keep their hair short, keep themselves in good shape and dress well were just as attractive, if not more so to women than men who had a full head of hair.
So, if you are losing your hair you now have a much bigger incentive to go down to the gym, to keep yourself in shape, to buy clothes which make you look good and to generally make that extra effort with your appearance to detract from the fact that you do not have much hair on top of your head.
Some men who start to lose their hair become depressed and actually spend less time on their appearance when in fact they should be doing the opposite. Just because you are losing hair does not mean that your life is over!
