Female hair loss is extremely stressful

A survey undertaken by a company which produces vitamin supplements namely Vitabiotics Wellwoman Tricologic shows that a third of all women over the age of 25 suffer some degree of hair loss. The blame was put on stressful modern lifestyles and lack of proper diet and nutrition. There’s a definite link between a poor diet and bad hair and skin which is often aggravated by starvation dieting. Women in the United Kingdom are often obsessed with their weight because of media ideals of what is considered to be the perfect body shape and thus they neglect to consume a balanced diet.

Female hair loss is extremely stressful because it is not a natural process like male pattern baldness but something which makes you stand out from the crowd. The hair of a woman is directly linked to how attractive they are and a lack of hair can cause a complete emotional breakdown. Women should know that if they want to appear their best they need to be healthy and this means eating regular balanced meals, sleeping properly, learning to relax and making sure that they don’t overwork.

In fact stress related hair loss for women can be a vicious circle which is extremely difficult for them to break out of.  The more your hair gets thin the more stressed you get and the worse it becomes. This also applies to your skin. It is much more difficult to consume a healthy balanced diet if you are stressed so take time out to relax, get to bed early and face the day refreshed.

Women must not use the hair loss medication Propecia because there is a very slight chance that it could harm an unborn child.  Also for the majority of women their hair loss is not caused by dihydrotestosterone which is the leading cause of male pattern baldness. Women should go and see a doctor if they are experiencing hair loss and probably the best advice they will give is to learn to live healthily.
