For the majority of men male pattern baldness is something that starts in their thirties and is a gradual process. Some unlucky men start to lose their hair when they are in their early twenties and a few extremely unlucky men start to suffer from hair loss when they are still teenagers!

For some teenagers this can be life changingly distressing as they have to deal with the fact that despite being so young they look much older and completely out of sync with their peers. Teenagers don’t like looking completely different to everybody else and the ones who we have spoken to at Ukmedix News explained how they were teased about their hair loss at school.

If the majority of your friends are also losing their hair than it’s not so bad for you, but if you’re the only one it’s not much fun.

This was confirmed recently by the singer Ne-Yo from Beautiful Monster who said that he started to lose his hair when he was only thirteen. He explained that many of the other men in his family started to lose their hair when they were very young so he was sort of expecting it but it made him very self conscious and he started to wear hats whenever he could to cover it up.

In his line of work which involves looking good and fashionable, wearing a hat wouldn’t be such a big deal but if he had decided to become an accountant, a lawyer or work in any office he couldn’t just turn up wearing a hat all day. So even though Ne-Yo is pretty unlucky to have started to lose his hair so young he is lucky to be working in the industry that he does.

At Ukmedix News we would advise male teenagers who lose their hair to go and have a chat with a doctor. Don’t make a big deal of it because it is perfectly normal for you to suffer from hair loss at this young age and it also shows that you have a healthy production of testosterone!

Why does he not shave it? Surely he would feel he is like many of his peers then. Millions of boys like to shave their heads.
