Naomi is suffering from what is known in medical circles as Traction Alopecia

The world famous supermodel Naomi Campbell is said to be seriously traumatised by the fact that her hair is beginning to become noticeably thin. Naomi who has recently been in and out of the gossip columns all over the world following her court appearances for alleged assault and unleashing her temper on her person assistants is probably the most famous black model in the world. She has graced the covers of thousands of magazines and is a style icon who earns millions of pounds every year from modeling and endorsements.

Naomi Campbell Has Thinning Hair

Naomi is apparently losing her hair because she has used hair extensions too much over the last ten years. Being a famous supermodel requires her to change her hairstyle all the time and thus she is in a hairdresser practically every single day. Her hair has been damaged not only by the dragging and traction that hair extensions cause but also by using chemical treatments which weaken hair follicles over time.

Naomi is suffering from what is known in medical circles as Traction Alopecia, and there is no real cure for the condition other then removing the hair extensions and the harmful chemicals. Naomi should let her hair grow naturally and use special shampoos and conditioners given to her by medical experts.

It is also possible that the stress of her recent court appearances has contributed to Naomi’s thinning hair and she should be aware that constant stress is not good for the skin or the hair. Young girls of African American origin are also at risk as they often want to straighten their hair and to do this they put it very tight which causes stress on the hair follicles and eventually it can cause traction alopecia.

If you want your hair to retain its natural thickness over the years you have to look after it carefully.
