James Nesbitt, the Irish actor has been speaking frankly and honestly about his male pattern baldness. He said that going bald was "horrible" and that "anyone who says it isn't is lying." We are pretty sure that many men know exactly what he's talking about!

James Nesbitt who first made a name for himself in the romantic comedy Cold Feet winning a British Comedy Award in the process explained that he felt that his balding head could impact on his career and that therefore he wanted to do something about it. We don't know whether James Nesbitt tried the hair loss drug Propecia which is the easiest way to stop male pattern baldness but he opted to undergo hair transplant surgery in the Hair Restoration Blackrock clinic based in Dublin.
We've often spoken about the psychological effect of male pattern baldness on men and we know that people in the public eye such as actors and politicians feel the impact much more so than individuals whose image is not such an important part of their identity. For an actor to go bald, it can drastically change his public persona and affect his career negatively. The singer and actor Jason Donovan is often used as an example of how male pattern baldness can change an upward career path.
The real reason why most men don't go for hair transplants is because they feel that they will be laughed at and ridiculed for being vain however attitudes are changing and at Ukmedix News we reckon that in ten years time with the rapid advance of skilled hair transplant surgeries being made available, hair transplant operations will become routine practice for balding men. It is already considered to be acceptable for actors and people in the public eye to have hair transplant surgery and in America even the Vice President of the United States has had this treatment.
At Ukmedix News we would advise men to try the hair loss drug Propecia before undergoing a hair transplant surgery.
