her hair had defined her beauty and not having it undermined her identity.

So guys if you think your hair loss is a serious problem imagine you were female and your salary depended on having good hair! That is exactly what happened to the aspiring model and actress Georgia Van Cuylenburg!

hollywood model and actress learns to cope with baldness

Georgia Van Cuylenburg who actually even worked as a hair model was shocked to discover that large clumps of hair were falling out when she was having a shower. Having been used to thick beautiful hair which had natural blonde highlights she was devastated with her situation and despite speaking to doctors she was unable to stop the hair loss.

Georgia Van Cuylenburg suffers from a rare condition called alopecia areata which occurs when the immune system gets confused and attacks hair follicles. It has no cure and while it is thought to be caused by stress there is a no clear proof and link. Georgia said that while she was concerned about her physical health it was the psychological damage which was the most difficult to deal with. She said that her hair had defined her beauty and not having it undermined her identity.

Despite her hair growing back a little bit these days Georgia Van Cuylenburg gets by in Hollywood by using a wig and said that she refuses to let her disease dictate who she is and how she feels. She sometimes wears a wig when she goes to an audition and sometimes she just let everybody see her bald head!

It is strange to think about it but Georgia Van Cuylenburg now claims that her alopecia areata was an amazing blessing for her life because it allowed her to see herself for what she really was inside rather than trying to value herself by her external appearance.

At Ukmedix News we understand the pain and anguish that men and women go through when they lose their hair and it is heartening to know that even in image obsessed Hollywood there are some people who can rise above their hair loss problems and get on with their lives!
