Vitamins Will Not Stop Male Pattern Baldness

they will not change the rate of your hair loss

Every now and again at Ukmedix News we reckon that it is our job to remind readers that male pattern baldness is a genetic condition and not something that will go away by itself. The other thing that we have to remind you about is that taking a few vitamin pills or changing your diet is going to have absolutely no difference on the rate in which your hair falls out from male pattern baldness.

vitamins will not stop male pattern baldness

All over the internet there are websites advertising special vitamin supplements that the producers claim will change the onset of male pattern baldness and these are a complete waste of time. We are not saying that vitamins and a healthy diet are not good for you but they will not change the rate of your hair loss.

Other websites say there what you need is extra iron or folic acid to boost your hair growth but again this is misleading. If you were to eat a diet so deficient in iron and Folic acid your hair might to start to fall out but you would probably also notice that you were extremely weak and your hair loss would be the least of your health complications.  Other websites tell you that the thing you really must do is eat more Vitamin B12 or zinc and again that is not going to change anything if you have male pattern baldness.

Male pattern baldness is created by the build up of a compound called Dihydrotestosterone which accumulates in the scalp. Dihydrotestosterone is a completely harmless compound that is part of the male hormonal make up. There are only 2 properly clinically tested medications available for male pattern baldness and they are Propecia made by the pharmaceutical company Merck and Minoxidil which is often sold in the form of a medication called Rogaine. If you use anything else you are almost certainly wasting your time.
