At Ukmedix News we have noticed that whenever there is a conference about a subject that we report on we learn a lot of new information and facts. Scientists often wait until large conferences are planned to release their groundbreaking research to their fellow researchers and pharmaceutical companies keep a good look out on any interesting new developments.

Ukmedix News will be keeping an eye out for any new hair loss developments that may be announced at the 5th International Congress on Hair Research which is starting today in Vancouver, Canada and which claims to be the largest hair conference ever held. The organisers are expecting scientists, trichologists, dermatologists and hair transplant surgeons to attend and to swap notes with their fellows about any new methods or discoveries.
This conference will not only be looking at male pattern baldness but also other types of baldness that are experienced by both men and women, such as chemotherapy hair loss, hair loss due to stress and alopecia due to auto-immune problems. The conference organisers have even gone as far as to include people who study and research excessive hair growth that is a problem for many women.
One of the organisers of the conference said that hair loss was not just a simple medical problem but was being increasingly recognised as something that could have a major bearing on the confidence and even the career advancement of certain people. At Ukmedix News we know that hair loss can really affect the confidence of some men and because they find it so distressing this will have a bearing on their relationships with other people.
The conference organisers are expecting around 400 participants from all over the world to hear all about the developments of the hair loss industry which is estimated to be worth about £4 million every year.
