The hair restoration industry of the world is worth billions of pounds every year and recently we have come across a report that shows that even a country like Saudi Arabia spends about £180 million every year on hair loss remedies for both men and women. Apparently however in countries like Saudi Arabia where both men and women very often cover their hair the number of people suffering from hair loss is greater. This is partly due to the fact that not only is the hair not getting any natural air but in the excessively hot temperatures of the Middle East the problem of hair loss can be aggravated.

The company Unilever which carried out the research noted that around the world about 50% of all men suffer from dandruff or hair loss but that in Saudi Arabia figure was higher at 60 %. Unilever also noted that Saudi Arabian people were suffering because they had poor information about what caused their loss and how to treat it. It was also apparent that many people had been duped into buying remedies that were of no use whatsoever.
Unilever are aware that in the city of Jeddah the demand for anti-dandruff shampoos and other treatments are much higher than would normally be expected. This goes to show that a little bit of sunlight on your head and letting the fresh air run through it can be very good for your scalp and strengthen your hair follicles. In the summer when things heat up you should be aware of the fact that your scalp needs to be looked after and you should not let it get too much sun and the same time do not let your head sweat too much underneath a hat. In the summer you should make a special effort to shampoo your hair on a regular basis especially after swimming.
