This exciting new research could be applied to male pattern baldness...

Fascinating new baldness research could open up new avenues to enable a complete cure for male pattern balding especially for men who have already gone bald. The research shows that despite most people believing that once they have lost the hair follicles on their head there is nothing that may be done for them, this is not definitely true.

skin and hair follicles regenerated

The research that was done by professors from the University of Pennsylvania and also the University of California showed with the right conditions and applications skin is perfectly able to regenerate and to start producing normal healthy hair. The research on the skin and hair was done using mice in controlled laboratories.

What the scientists have shown is that they can help the skin to repair itself in a way that means that all of the usual structures in skin tissue like oil glands and hair follicles are present and that it is not just the skin tissue that is regenerated. The study was led by professor Cotsarelis who said that this exciting new research could be applied to male pattern baldness as well as other types of alopecia.

At Ukmedix News we were having a discussion the other day and we reckon that it is likely that another breakthrough hair loss remedy is soon to come onto the market and while Propecia works with over 80% of all males who have male pattern baldness there is definitely a market for another hair loss remedy out there.

It seems that the next remedy for hair loss will involve a genetic cure as alot of money is being invested in understanding the process that causes genetic male pattern baldness. If a drug can be invented that literally switches off the genetic process of androgenetic alopecia the financial rewards will be huge for the company that gets the patent for it.
