Hair loss for women creates intense anxiety

A study done recently to examine the incidence of hair loss in females in the United Kingdom saw that surprising numbers of them have reported hair loss in the past or are still suffering from it. Over 2,000 women were looked at for the study and almost twenty percent of them said that they have at some point suffered from hair loss. Thrity five percent of the women said that they have actually been so worried about their hair loss that they have visited a doctor.

The researchers said that this shows that more women need to get information about why they suffer from hair loss and what they must do to stop it. Women suffer from hair loss mainly due to hormonal fluctuations which in the most part are completely normal. For example after having given birth many women notice that their hair is slightly thinner than it was before and this sort of hair loss is almost always temporary and nothing really to worry about.

Ukmedix News has seen other surveys which show that stress can increase the level of cortisol in the body that has a bad action for the skin and the hair and that being the reason why stressed people tend to have bad skin. Hair loss in women tends to be uniform when it is of the hormonal type and thus unlike male pattern baldness which tends to be all in one area of the scalp women do not notice their hair loss for some time.  Hair loss for women creates intense anxiety and the stress of noticing their hair loss can actually aggravate the problem and make it worse.

And Ukmedix News we would advise any women who are noticing that their hair is thinning to go and visit a doctor because there are some treatments that can be given to them such as the minoxidil drug. Women must not under any circumstances use the Propecia hair loss drug because it is only designed to be used by men.
