Hair Loss Dilemmas

In our research at Ukmedix we have found that some men really are not stressed at all by the problem of hair loss caused by male pattern baldness and these are the lucky men. These types of men tend to be older and in steady relationships and who are confident and secure. They realise that they will not be defined by whether they have or don’t have hair on their head and so they don’t care too much.

It is when a man feels that he will be defined by his hair loss as in people will say ‘oh he’s the bald one’ that a man is likely to worry about losing his hair. Certain people who are in jobs that require a high level of physical presence such as salesmen or actors may worry more about their hair loss than say a backroom accountant or lawyer. Recently there have been reports that Jude Law the world famous actor has been losing his hair and he is said to be devastated by it. For him it is not just a simple case of vanity but it could also affect his career and with the public eye on him his hair loss will be scrutinised daily by the media when it starts to show.

Younger men who are more conscious of their appearance and who are still in the dating game also place great importance on their hair. Sometimes a man who grows his hair long is identified by his wild and wacky hairstyle and thus losing his hair is much more traumatic than for a man who has kept a short and simple hairstyles all of his life.

A bit if advice from Ukmedix would be that if you have male pattern baldness in your family be careful about attaching too much importance to your hairstyle because soon you may be losing it. Your best bet would be to keep it short and simple so that when it starts to go it isn’t so traumatic and such a huge change from before.
